Dinner and Recipe Ideas for the Crock Pot
Today has been nothing short of glorious. The weather is crisp and clear, but not too cold. Everyone got a good night’s sleep last night so as each family member passed through my kitchen this morning, there was good cheer and a pleasant acceptance that another day is before us. I put dinner together….(scalloped potatoes waiting in the fridge to be plopped into the oven at just the right time and smoked sausage and cabbage in the crock pot making the house smell delicious), and now I have time to write.
Like much of the country, I spent Tuesday evening in front of the computer and television as the election results came in. While I was surfing for election results I found an incredible blog that I want to share with you….. It’s called A Year of Crockpotting,
If you’re like me and you’re always looking for a good, but easy dinner idea, check this one out. Not only does Stephanie O’Dea provide delicious recipes, she is actually using her crockpot every day for a year and then posting her family’s reaction to the recipe of the day. Go ahead, take a look! I spent about 3 hours on Tuesday reading her blog and pasting recipes into my electronic recipe file. My family is gonna thank her!
I hope you’ll stop by her blog and let her know if you use and enjoy any of her recipes.
As for me, I have time to work on Family History and Genealogy today so I’m going to cycle the laundry through the washer and dryer and get to work. I hope all of you enjoy this day as much as I am!
